The Pennsylvania Lottery and Virginia Lottery have introduced the industry's first multi-state instant progressive jackpot. This is after the two lottery operators inked a deal with Instant Win Gaming (IWG), a recognized provider of e-Instant games worldwide.

Pennsylvania and Virginia Launch the Multi-State Progressive Jackpot

This thrilling program, known as Mega Money Jackpots, will provide multimillion-dollar jackpots to e-Instant gamers in the two regulations. It's expected that lottery operators in other states will join the program, raising the jackpot even higher.

IWG's cutting-edge InstantJackpots technology powers the Mega Money Jackpots. The full functionality offers effortless integration using the company's InstantRGS (remote gaming server). This means lottery operators don't need any development assistance from individual iLottery platform suppliers to integrate the jackpot into their e-Instant lottery games

This agreement offers a crucial turning point for the lottery industry in the United States. The first multi-state e-Instant progressive jackpot will be offered by regulated lottery operators in the two states, giving life-changing awards.

This is not the first partnership between Instant Win Gaming and the Virginia Lottery. In May 2022, the two entities inked a deal to introduce the first eDraw-style lottery game in the state. IWG also relaunched in Kentucky after signing a deal with the Kentucky Lottery Corporation.

Official Statements

Rhydian Fisher, CEO at IWG, commented:

“Progressive jackpots have been hugely popular with eInstant players in both Pennsylvania and Virginia. Now with the higher prizing opportunity that comes from pooling play across two successful lotteries, Mega Money Jackpots allows for even higher jackpot awards and greater player excitement. Congratulations to both lotteries for pioneering this next chapter in eInstant games.”

Stephanie Weyant, Deputy Executive Director for Marketing and Products at Pennsylvania Lottery, added:

“We're excited to work alongside the Virginia Lottery and IWG to launch Mega Money Jackpots. The ability to offer higher jackpot prizes will certainly resonate with our players and result in additional proceeds to benefit older Pennsylvanians here in the Commonwealth.”

Scott Kenyon, Strategic Games Manager at Virginia Lottery, said:

"As the first US lottery to launch progressive jackpot eInstants, the Virginia Lottery has continued to collaborate with IWG to champion even more online innovations. This multi-state partnership with the Pennsylvania Lottery highlights these efforts, setting an example for other iLottery jurisdictions. We believe Mega Money Jackpots will be enthusiastically received by our players all while supporting the Virginia Lottery's mission to raise revenue for K-12 public education."
