In recognition of his stellar performance in the management of the lottery and gaming industry in Nigeria, Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila, the Director-General of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), has received accolades and awards both at home and abroad.
At the International Casino Exhibition (ICE) in London, United Kingdom (UK), Mr. Gbajabiamila was honored with the Africa Gaming Hall of Fame Award of Excellence. He was inducted into the highest Lottery Hall of Fame for his dedication, commitment, steadfastness, and novelty in the development of lotteries and gaming in Nigeria and across the African continent.
Prior to the London ICE award, Mr. Gbajabiamila was also recognized by the National Data Protection Commission in Nigeria. He received the Special Recognition Award for his effective contributions to data protection in the country. The Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy commended Mr. Gbajabiamila for his collaboration and support.
Due to his profound accomplishments in his first term as the head of the lottery commission, Mr. Gbajabiamila was reappointed by the immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari, for another four years as the Director-General of NLRC.
